Artist Jerry Chang crafts ceramic art infused with aloha spirit.
The Green Office Furnishings gallery is currently home to haunting icebergs meandering across solid wood alongside a sleek grey whale suspended in mid air. Jerry Chang may challenge what you think is possible to throw on a pottery wheel.
The pieces displayed on the surfaces of the fine furnishings around the gallery will give you a taste of the work he produces. His ceramic pieces range from unexpected sculptural pieces to functional vases and platters. His work incorporates forms and colors reminiscent of the sea and his Haiwiian culture.
The water like movement in his forms is complemented by the hues of the sky and sand chosen for the glazes. Jerry has been featured in many group and solo exhibitions and was even chosen for a summer arts scholarship at CSU Monterey Bay. He is currently a member of the Art Stand Gallery, an artists collective located in Sanger along the scenic Blossom Trail.
Come meet Jerry at Green Office Furnishings first ArtHop from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday August 21, 2014.
