Step through the door and explore the world through the view finder of Sara Deasy.
Sara delights in framing the world in a haze of surrealist splendor. The expression of cultural enmity found in art and social behavior fascinate her.
She is drawn to that which challenges convention. Sara loves to subtly incorporate social quirks and taboos into images which are designed to engage the viewer and alter their sense of reality. She is inspired by the work of Andre Brenton.
Sara describes her Connfectiones series as, “A compilation of photographs glorifying the impermanent through dreamlike images to create a
sense of losing oneself metaphysically.”
Sara Deasy is currently earning her Master’s Degree in Art History with an emphasis in photography at Fresno State. She has been working as a professional photographer for the past seven years. First as a freelance photographer for a number of local publications before opening her own studio, DC Photography, in Fresno.
DC Photography offers a playfully insightful alternative to the typical staunchly posed wedding photos. Sara and her partner Scott highlight the nuances of love from the mutual passions that bring a couple together to the simple candid moments of joy on the faces of the guests at the wedding.
